This is a website and video clip for the popular tv show Glee's most recent episode "Britney/Britany". Many of the individuals in this episode are shown fantasizing and imitating Britany Spears. Seeing themselves as Britany with the looks, voice, and popularity, seems to help them find more of a purpose in their lives and to feel more confident about themselves. Mr. Schuester is missing the woman he loved and he sees the man she is now with and tries to win back her love by taking his advice. He goes out on a limb and buys a new car. His new yellow corvette, although it seems like a guaranteed benefit, is still just a car and does not win back Emma's love. How does this episode, other Glee episodes, and songs in the episodes, effect the fictional characters in Glee? How do those things, and the music of pop culture effect those of us listening and watching? Does being like celebrities make you more loved? Does having a nice car gain someone's love for you?

This seems like a very good topic. I actually watched this the other night for the first time with a few guys and my RA (girl). It was quite interesting and I believe that there is a lot that can be said about this topic. Good find.
