This is a poster of Dom Francisco's Restaurant in Brazil offering dinner for lovers on Valentine ’s Day. The way that the poster portraits love and romance is quite unique and witty as it only utilizes elements specific to a restaurant. While other advertisements market their products utilizing male and females as sex icons, we immediately recognize this as a great play on "being in bed" with napkins and silverware. The fork and the spoon clearly represent the couple submerged in love and romance. And the advertisement tries to sell the romantic atmosphere and valuable memory offered by the restaurant.

It is worthwhile to take a look at the graphic design of this poster. The quality of the silverware indicates the character of this restaurant-- it offers tasty food and courteous services. And viewers might also imagine the interior decorations of this restaurant when they are looking at the specific font type of its shop sign, which might be elegant yet cheerful. The napkin is peeled off a little bit that both conceals and reveals what is taking place, initiating our curiosity and passion and ultimately attracting more customers into the restaurant.

The poster offers possibilities of multiple interpretations. When you go back to the photograph after reading the only phase on this page “Valentine’s Day in Dom Francisco’s restaurant”, do you feel that this meal is so crucial that it would offer you and your partner a perfect sex experience after that? Or the meal is as enjoyable and thrilling as having sex?
