In this axe commercial Denese Saintclaire and Monica Blake advertise a new product which will clean your balls. They demonstrate the product by cleaning various size sports balls- golf balls, tennis balls, soccer balls, and old medicine balls. They go on to describe that this product can clean even the oldest and dirtiest balls.

This ad is clearly full of sexual inuendos which suggest this product is intended to clean guys testicles. Examples of some of these inuendos are, at 33 seconds in Denese says, "Well how can guys clean their balls so they're more enjoyable to play with." Also at 1:37 Monica says, "Cleans right through the prickly surface." The inuendos continue with the balls always being held in pairs of two, and Monica rolling them around in her hand, playing with them. This commerical suggests that not only will masterbating experience be more pleasureable but your experience with other women will be better. If you "clean your dirty balls," with this axe product the women will want you more. Ar 1:29 a women even makes a face when a guy is talking about his dirty balls. This suggests that it is disgusting if your balls aren't clean. I feel it also shows/suggests that our culture is straying away from the traditional sense of love and turning to a focus more on sex.

  1. This would be a very good source to do your primary source analysis on because it is a long commercial and you can get a lot of information out of it with all in inuendos and how it relates to sex and lust instead of love which relates to our topic in english.

  2. I feel like this could be a very good source for our primary source analysis because it shows how far our culture as gone to make commercials dirty with sexual innuendos in it. You could talk a lot about how our society is really out in the open about sex these days and stuff is no longer private
